“So far I’ve heard from Albion College and Ashland University, and that’s about it. It’s just been letters so far,” said the Trotwood Madison junior.
“I’m really just trying to get my name out there as much as possible. So reaching any colleges as much as I can, as often as I can, and as quickly as I can is really the goal.”
His ability to get to the hole paired with a solid mid-range are strengths of his that could catch the eye of college coaches soon.
“Right now my strengths are my mid-range and slashing, and I’m trying to expand that more to the 3. And I’m a good slasher and rebounder and I run the floor well,” said Belyeu.
He’s currently putting together a very solid junior season with the Rams, and when we spoke with him last week he had averages of 16.3 points, 6 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
The do-it-all prospect says leadership has also been a central role of his this season.
“My role on the team is more of a leadership role; I was captain last year am and again this year,” said Belyeu. “I just need to make sure that everyone is in the right spot for rebounding, and making sure that everything is in order. I need to score when I need to, pass when I need to, and make sure everything is in order.”
