“Senior season is going pretty well,” Satter said. “I think there’s still another level that we’re going to reach, but I think our December team was much better than any other December team I’ve been on in my four years of varsity basketball at STM.
“And I think we’ll keep building from here. I like the way things are looking.”
The Cavaliers have a big game with Madison tomorrow night at the Heritage Classic. The game is at the Sanford Pentagon between two of the best in Class A.
Satter is a part of a talented senior class that includes SD School of Mines post Isaac Kortemeyer, wing Pretson Arity, guard Tayton Maher, and others. They’ve all grown as players and student athletes, especially Satter.
“This year I’ve really learned to forget about a lot of the distractions and just do what I’m supposed to do,” Satter said. “I’m still working on it, but I truly believe I’ve become a much more well-rounded player.
“Whether it’s handling the ball against pressure, getting to the rim, making plays for my teammates or being more vocal on the court, I’ve improved in a lot of ways this year.”
Satter is taking his time with his college decision. He’s looking at many locations in many areas to find the right fit academically and with basketball.
“Right now I’m receiving interest from about fifteen schools from the division two, division three, and NAIA levels,” Satter said.
“As of now I would say my most intriguing interactions are with Biola University out in Los Angeles which is currently NAIA but transitioning to D2, University of Saint Thomas in Minneapolis which is the defending D3 national champ, and South Dakota School of Mines which I’m very familiar and comfortable with being across town from STM.
“That said, I have multiple offers elsewhere that also interest me and I’ve certainly not written anybody off.”
