With wins over Thompson, Enderlin, Hankinson, and Ada-Borup (MN) the Jaguars are one of the better teams in Class B right now.
“We are doing good to start the season,” Nelson said. “We are 5-1 and ranked in the top 10.”
Last night Nelson was the best player on the floor scoring 27 points and pushing the Jags to a 68-59 win over Thompson. Nelson continues to improve his all around game.
“The main things I have improved this season is my leadership and my defense. You have to bring energy everyday.”
Nelson has done just that so three North Dakota college programs are calling him regularly about playing college basketball.
“I have no plans for next year yet,” said Nelson. “U of Mary, Jamestown, and Valley City State are showing the most interest.”
