In his first time on varsity, the freshman is averaging 4.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game off the bench. Along with other 2020 prospects, Isaac Ward and Jaden Gray, Sharp sees a healthy dose of minutes for Tampa Prep.
His offensive game is coming along. I’ve seen him play two times this season in wins over Bell Creek (six points) and Bishop McLaughlin Catholic (eight points). Sharp shot 50 percent from the field in those games and is 19-of-38 for the season. He’s only made three 3-pointers, one from the corner against Bishop McLaughlin, but you can see the development.
Sharp is part of a young core for Tampa Prep. The Terrapins are succeeding because of the system that has been in place for so many years and with a plethora of athletes, they will continue to do so.
Look for Sharp to become more confident as the season progresses. He’s a freshman that is just waiting to break out. Playing for Skills Center Elite for yet another summer will help him in a big way.
