Continue Reading2018 point guard Chandler Lindsey is ranked as the 8th best point guard prospect in South Carolina for the 2018 class. At Spartanburg Day School he is playing alongside PrepHoopsSC #1 ranked junior Zion Williamson, who is one of the natiosn most sought after recruits.
Lindsey and Williamson have helped The Griffins to a 18-6 record so far this season while the 6-foot-2 floor general is averaging 12.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest. They will be a favorite to take home the state championship in thier classification. While Williamson handles most of the scoring for Sparatnburg Day, Lindsey can also put the ball in the basket. He scored 28 points against Newton HS over Martin Luther King Holiday.
An athletic point guard, Lindsey won the dunk contes tat the Farm Bureau Invitational held at Dorman High School over the Christmans break. He can split defenses with his handle and quickness, he can finish with either hand at the rim and his is a playerwith great vision in transition.
One attribute that may go overlooked is his ability as a defender. Lindsey is a in-your-face defender and takes pride in his job of guarding the oppositions best guard. He is a little bigger than most guards at his position and uses that to his advantage. He averages around 3 steals per game for The Griffins.
College coaches looking for a athletic, defensive pest of a point guard, they should get by Spartanburg Day and take a look at Lindsey.
