Week in Review
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard had a spectacular week with outputs of 39 points against Wayne Country Day and 40 points against The Burlington School. He is averaging 29.6 points per game this season. He also surpassed the 2,000 career point plateau this week.
White is best at attacking down hill, getting out and running in the open floor, finishing end-to-end and a soft touch around the rim has propelled him from being a talk in North Carolina as a player to see, to now a player nationally to see. A taller point guard at 6’4″ he can see over other guards which allows him to make easier passes. White has the ability to knock down mid-range jump shots all the way to the three-point line. White also possesses a high basketball IQ that other players his age do not have.
Next in Line
Sage Surratt, who recently chose to accept a football scholarship to Wake Forest University had quite the week as well after he posted outputs of 51 points for Lincolnton High School in a win against North Gaston High School. Earlier in the week he went for 25 points in another win. This is the second time in a little less than a month that he has scored over 50 points. He is at 2,428 points for his career. He has a chance to break into the top three in career scoring for the state if he finishes the rest of the regular season strong and Lincolton advances into the playoffs.
