Orem- Kedrick Clayton is Utah’s best 3 and D player. Standing 6’3 and 170 pounds, Ked is an excellent perimeter defender. Lateral quickness is one of his best attributes, moving great sideline to sideline and rarely out of position on the offensive or defensive end.
Kedrick is a 3 year starter for the Bruins, and has improved every season. His leadership qualities have been extremely valuable for Mountain View this year, that has really helped them remain a top 20 team in Utah.
Clayton is also leading 4A and 5A in rebounding, which for a shooting guard is almost unheard of in Utah. He is a solid athlete with room to put muscle on a 6’3 frame, Clayton says, “I really want to work on strength and my ability to create my own shot off the dribble and tighten up ball handling”.
Kedrick is a great outside shooter where he’s averaging 2 3’s per game and 15 PPG and 10 RPG, all while locking down the opposing teams best player. Kedrick plays for ASL Hoops and is planning on serving a 2 year LDS mission this summer. He will be ready to for the 2019-2020 season and is a low D1 to high D2 prospect.
