American Fork- Isaac Johnson is one of the top prospects in 5A and throughout the state. The 6’10 and 195 pound sophomore forward for the American Fork Cavemen is a real difference maker and the real deal as far as prospects go.
He has the size and skill to be a high level D1 prospect, and if things keep progressing and he is able to add some muscle on his frame, he could be a top 30 player nationally in the class of 2019. Isaac said his biggest strengths are, “My ability to stretch the floor with my jump shot. Also, I can handle the ball and get others involved in transition or finish at the rim”.
Isaac is currently leading the Cavemen in scoring, rebounding, and blocked shots and is the #1 player in the class of 2019 in Utah. Johnson has a very rare blend of size and skill for being just a sophomore, he truly has an unlimited ceiling and potential for how good he can be.
Johnson plays for Utah Prospects in the AAU circuit and is currently being recruited by UCLA, Oregon, Gonzaga, Arizona, Duke, BYU, Utah, Utah State, and SUU. Isaac will serve a 2 year LDS mission after high school and will be eligible to start his freshman year of college in 2021-2022 season.
