Friday Night Predictions!
Top games to watch tonight in North Dakota and South Dakota? Who do we think comes out on top? PHDs Friday Night Predictions is next!
North Dakota
Four Winds/Minnewaukan at Hillsboro/Central Valley. The extra challenging Class B schedule that the Indians have put together for themselves continues tonight with the 5-2 Burros. We say challenging as many of the Four Winds opponents have been some of the best Class B teams in the state but nobody has even challenged them yet.
Fargo North at West Fargo. The expectation was that the Packers were the better team coming into the year but Fargo North is the hottest squad They’ve won five in a row including an overtime victory over Shanley when Siman Sem put forth maybe the best individual effort of the season so far. West Fargo needs this win tonight. They were defeated by WF Sheyenne earlier in the week. We think the Packers bounce back, win by six.
Kenmare at Parshall. The Braves have a tough schedule and they are 4-3 so far with it. It’s time that the Braves beat a good team and the Honkers are in town tonight. If Parshall is going to be the team they want to be this is a game they win. We are convinced yet. Kenmare by seven.
Fargo Davies at WF Sheyenne. When the Mustangs lost three of their first four games (two in over time) we were close to writing them off. They have bounce back to win four straight including a huge win over West Fargo. Can they keep things rolling with a win at Fargo Davies? That may be biting off more than the Mustang can chew. But hey we nearly wrote them off before….
Washburn at TLMM. The Cardinals have four wins over teams that are a combined 6-21. The good teams they’ve played (Parshall and Solen) beat then by a combined 50 points. It’s time Washburn steps up beats a good team and that would be Turtle Lake-Mercen/McClusky. Are we going to make an upset call? Not tonight. TLMM wins by 11.
South Dakota
Brookings at Brandon Valley. A huge game in Class AA to find out which of these teams really has the look of a strong contender. The Bobcats are 5-1 but they only over .500 team they’ve played is Huron who they split with. Brandon Valley has also played and beaten one team with a winning record and that’s also Huron who they beat by two. Brandon Valley did nearly beat O’Gorman though. Who wins? Lynx by two scores.
Sisseton at Groton Area. The Tigers are one of two unbeatens in the entire Class A field and Sisseton will be their toughest opponent of the season. Groton Area has not had a real challenge yet this year as nobody has come within 16 points of them. They are likely to get a stiff challenge tonight and win by ten.
Sturgis Brown at RC Stevens. We have Stevens number one in the state because they’ve earned it. To keep earning it they have need to beat a hot Sturgis squad. As far as Sturgis goes if they are a team that is really a competitor this a game they compete with and have a chance to win with at the end. Stevens wins by six.
Colome at Stanley County. Stanley County is 7-1 this year but the only team they’ve played with a winning record (Highmore-Harrold) they lost to. The Buffaloes have pretty much been outplaying several teams that are struggling. Colome will be their top opponent and this should be a close game. We call Colome in the upset!
