A big, strong, wide-body type, Scroggins has soft hands and a good feel for scoring in the post and is a solid rebounder, and can also step out and knock down an outside shot.
“I like to post up if I’m guarded one-on-one, if double teamed I like to find the open man and I like to make a lot of mid range and 3-pointers,” he said.
A left hander, Scroggins says he focused on using his right hand more throughout the previous offseason and hopes to join MoKan Elite this upcoming offseason.
Raymore-Peculiar is off to a 3-10 start playing a tough schedule and Scroggins says he is looking forward to a rematch against Lee’s Summit West and Bradley recruit Elijah Childs.
“We play good, we just got to limit turnovers and make sure we get back in transition,” he said.
Scroggins said watching LeBron James has likely been the biggest influence on his basketball career to date.
“He’s showed me if you work hard and put in the time you’ll do great things,” he said. “I like the NBA and love watching LeBron. I have taken that If you run in transition good things will happen if you run the floor either on a fast break scoring or assisting or defensively getting a steal, blocked shot and even a charge.”
Although is currently does not hold and offers, Scroggins says he has heard from Mid-America Nazarene.
