MVP | BRAEDEN JOHNSON | OHS ’18
As the team’s leading scorer, Braeden Johnson was the focal point of Oakton’s offense. His constant movement off the ball constantly had the attention of Stone Bridge’s defense, consequently freeing up his teammates for relatively easy looks. Johnson scored when he needed to, and came up with an important steal to clinch the game down the stretch.
BEST OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | EVAN BUCKLEY | SB ’19
Evan Buckley got wherever he wanted to on the court last night. A confident, quick & crafty lead guard, Buckley showed nice touch around the basket and improved range on his perimeter jumper. Buckley led the game with 24 points.
BEST DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | JACOB POSZ | OHS ’17
Jacob Posz guarded multiple positions for the Cougars. The strong and athletic senior even defended Evan Buckley at crucial points in this game. The solid all-around performance by the team captain was highlighted by his defensive effort.
BEST UNDER-THE-RADAR PERFORMANCE | JAMES DILUIGI | SB ’18
James DiLuigi had some nice moments offensively for the Bulldogs in this one. The junior guard was effective at creating space for his shot off the dribble, adding 10 points to his team’s effort.
BEST GUY OFF THE BENCH | JAKE DIGBY | OHS ’18
Jake Digby came in and made significant plays on both ends of the court to help his team clinch this win. Digby exhibited a nice touch on his jump shot and when finishing around the basket. He also hit several clutch free throws down the stretch to help keep his team in front.

Buckley scored a ton in this game, but is always looking to set up teammates first. The sophomore floor general never gets lazy with any of his passes, delivering on time and accurately no matter the intended target.

Digby doesn’t quite jump off the page as an elite athlete, but he always boxes out and can elevate high enough to secure the ball in traffic against most at this level. Digby has soft hands as well.
BEST INTANGIBLES | EVAN BUCKLEY | SB ’19
Buckley is quite clearly concerned with one thing, and one thing only, winning. There was plenty of evidence highlighting his toughness, grit and will to win for those in attendance.
