Pitt commit Aaron Thompson played a nearly flawless game en route to a huge win for the Panthers. The crafty lead guard defended with tenacity, was unstoppable off the bounce, and facilitated a well-oiled attack.
BEST OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | BRANDON SLATER | PVI ’18
Brandon Slater was the game’s leading scorer. The athletic 6’6 lefty hit 4 of 8 treys while shooting a very efficient 12 of 17 from the field. Slater also dished out 5 assists.
BEST DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | BRANDON SLATER | PVI ’18
Slater was an absolute monster defensively, where he snatched down 10 boards and swatted 5 shots. Both were game high’s.
BEST UNDER-THE-RADAR PERFORMANCE | EDDIE SCOTT | GONZAGA ’17
Penn commit Eddie Scott led Gonzaga with 15 points. Scott’s effort was unwavering as he consistently crashed the boards with purpose, especially on the offensive end.
BEST GUY OFF THE BENCH | ANWAR GILL | GONZAGA ’19
Anwar Gill was the game’s leading bench scorer, recording 14 points. The athletic wing defended multiple positions and also made an impact on the glass.

All Jojo Freeman does is put the ball in the basket. The freshman scored 9 points, missing just one of his four field goal attempts.
BEST PASSER | AARON THOMPSON | PVI ’17
Thompson led the game with 10 assists. He amassed that total through three quarters, and probably could have had more.
BEST UNDERCLASSMEN | JEREMY ROACH | PVI ’20
One thing that was really impressive about Jeremy Roach tonight was how hard he hit the boards. The freshman hauled in 6 rebounds. Roach also shot 50% from the field, scoring 8 points.
BEST INTANGIBLES | BRANDON SLATER | PVI ’18
This was not an easy choice, as the team certainly follows Aaron Thompson’s lead, but Slater was the best player on the floor last night. He understood what it took to win the game, and did just that.

Terrance Williams recorded 12 points and 8 reboundsTerrance Williams turned in another solid performance. The athletic freshman boasts a filled out frame, and is consistently producing against high level competition. It will be fun to continue to watch this young player grow and develop.
