Nick Ball stuffed the stat sheet. He recorded 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals & a block in the win. The available senior scored 12 straight during the second quarter when the Vikings began to open up their lead.
BEST OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | DOM FRAGALA | CHAMPE ’17
Credit Dom Fragala for putting up a game-high 30 points despite tight defense from Valley. The unsigned senior guard hit four threes and converted 8 of his 11 foul shot attempts.
BEST DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | NICK BALL | VALLEY ’17
Ball was one of the various players who Valley used to help defend Fragala in this one. His stats don’t really even illustrate how dominant Ball was defensively in this one. As the quarterback of Valley’s full-court press, he racked up deflections and consistently made sure his teammates were in correct position.
BEST UNDER-THE-RADAR PERFORMANCE | JORDAN MILLER | VALLEY ’18
Jordan Miller recorded 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and a block. The athletic 6’4 wing showcased a great feel for the game and a high motor.
BEST GUY OFF THE BENCH | JAMIR DEGREE | VALLEY ’17
Jamir Degree came scored 6 points in the second quarter during Valley’s big run. The senior forward was an impactful presence defensively was well.
BEST UNDERCLASSMEN | TYLER SAVAGE | CHAMPE ’20
Tyler Savage is going to be a very good player down the road. The freshman is a very unselfish player who quite clearly cares about winning and will do whatever it takes to do so.
BEST REBOUNDER | TYLER SAVAGE | CHAMPE ’20
Also a very good leaper, Savage pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds. The 6’2 freshman is remarkably strong and very adept at controlling the ball in traffic.
BEST CATCH AND SHOOT GUY | NICK BALL | VALLEY ’17
Ball seemingly couldn’t miss from beyond the arc. He demonstrated confidence and impressive range on his 3-point jumper.
BES INTANGIBLES | JALEN WILLIAMS | VALLEY ’18
Another formidable guard in Valley’s loaded back-court, Jalen Williams showed signs on both ends of the floor. Williams played great defense on Fragala, where he was effective at denying him the ball at times.
