The Week Ahead: Plan early for Friday (ND)
Class B and Class A are not fully into the season in North Dakota. What are the games to see this week? PHD has it for you here:
Tuesday: The Class B schedule still isn’t a full slate yet with some teams playing Monday, some Tuesday, and others still practicing to prep for the year. Northern Cass is on the verge of a top ten ranking and they are at May Port CG.
The Class A teams are in full swing and a couple of the top contenders face potential challenges. West Fargo and their deeper than expected team welcomes Fargo Shanley. Also, Grand Forks Red River is at West Fargo Sheyenne hoping to put some consistency to their game.
CNDC Tournament. Thursday night opens a solid Class B that has St. John facing TGU with a 3pm start. That will be followed by New Rockford-Sheyenne and Rolla then on the other side of the bracket is Rugby vs Drake-Anamoose and Dunseith vs Harvey/Wells County. The games run through the title game at 6pm on Saturday night.
Top Ten Class B Fight. Thursday matches Central Cass and Thompson, a pair of teams with top ten level talent fighting it out for position. Thompson is #10 in the state, Central Cass wants that respect.
Friday Night Predictions. We will always dive deeper into Friday nights on Friday morning as that is a basketball day that is special all to it’s own. That said it’s a monster night in Class A basketball with Minot facing Bismarck Century, West Fargo playing Grand Forks Red River, and Fargo Davies traveling to Fargo North. These are Class A games that will let teams know where they are at, and what they need to do better going forward.
Shiloh Christian Tough Slate Continues. The Skyhawks have put together a very tough schedule to start the season including their two score loss to Dickinson Trinity on the road on Saturday. They have another week to prep for their big match-up with Bishop Ryan this Saturday.
