Currently averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds per game, Hippler is an unselfish player who is very active and shares the ball well. “I can hit shots from the outside as well as drive. I think a big part of my game comes from my defense, blocking shots and getting steals leads to more opportunities for me,” said Hippler of his game. “We press a lot, so that also allows me the opportunity for a lot of steals.” Hippler plays along side D-I prospect Caden Sanchez at DeSales. “I really like to get him going.”
Hippler is currently being recruited by a host of D-III schools in Ohio (Denison, Capital, Case Western), and holds an offer from D-II Urbana University. “I”ve also been receiving some interest from University of Charleston (D-II).” This summer Hippler played for VCC Nova with coach Shawn Brown. “We had a great group of guys and a really strong spring and summer. I think I was a great help to them.”
As his high school career winds down, Hippler says that his goals are to try and average a double-double for the season and win a state championship.
