Standing 6’11, Swingle is a must see not only for Ohio’s 2018 class, but among 2018’s in the entire country.
Paint Valley has started off the season 3-4. “We’ve played a few really good teams that compete outside of our division,” said Swingle. Individually, Swingle is averaging 17 points per game and 12 rebounds. His season high in the early season is 30 points.
Swingle is the consummate post player. “I’m definitely a back to the basket big. I feel that I can rely on my post moves, and I’m also strong enough to back people down around the rim. I’ve become very comfortable with my jump shot, as well.”
This summer Dylan played with the All-Ohio (Red) grassroots AAU program. “All-Ohio is on the EYBL circuit. At times I felt like I played well, but I didn’t play as well as I know I can.” During the off-season Dylan said he worked on his conditioning and his mid range game. “I worked to have a more balanced game by expanding my range and getting in better shape.”
Swingle currently holds scholarship offers from West Virginia, Bowling Green, Akron, and George Washington. “Ohio State, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Belmont, Northern Kentucky, Dayton, Xavier, Wisconsin, and Clemson are recruiting me as well.” Swingle says he is looking for a school with a great coach and a program that he fits in with that compliments his playing style.
