“I’m a competitive player,” began Pearson, who recalls playing basketball since he was about 8. “I do whatever it takes to win. I just like to get it done.”
Pearson has been the Eagles’ most consistent player this season. He’s averaging a team-high 20 points per game. Pearson has really improved his ball-handling and is an effective low-post scorer against smaller guards. Pearson’s biggest contribution to the team by far this season are his intangibles.
“I like to be a leader and help my guys out,” he stated. “Especially my younger guys.”
He gets it done off the court as well, where he boasts a 3.4 GPA. At this point, no one is recruiting Pearson as this has been his most productive stretch of games to date. If Pearson continues to work hard and produce at this rate, it will only be a matter of time before his recruitment picks up. What can coaches who are recruiting Pearson expect him to bring to their program at the next level?
“I can bring toughness, leadership and competitiveness.”
