MVP | TEAM
This win was a result of a complete team effort by the Eagles, who made a tournament record 13 three-point field goals. They shared the ball, communicated, and played extremely hard.
BEST OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | PRENTISS HUBB | GONZAGA ’18
Prentiss Hubb got it going in the first half, where he scored all of his 17 points. Hubb was especially hot in the second quarter, where he danced with the ball and hit several tough shots off the bounce. In the second half, Hubb turned into more of a facilitator where he was equally effective.
BEST DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | MIKE MYERS | GONZAGA ’17
Mike Myers played excellent defense both on and off the ball. The 6’3 guard has quick, strong hands and outstanding awareness.
BEST GUY OFF THE BENCH | TERRANCE WILLIAMS | GONZAGA ’20
Freshman Terrance Williams is a go-to-guy for Coach Steve Turner off the bench. The athletic forward showed great hands and the ability to consistently hit shots from the perimeter when his feet are set.
BEST UNDER-THE-RADAR PERFORMANCE | EDDIE SCOTT | GONZAGA ’17
Eddie Scott is an absolute workhorse. He did a bit of everything for the Eagles in this one. Defended aggressively, made shots, filled the lanes, finished around the rim. The future UPenn Quaker added 14 points to the winning effort.
BEST UNDERCLASSMEN | COLE ANTHONY | MOLLOY ’19
Cole Anthony led Molloy with 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. His athleticism and feel for the game is off the charts. Expect the electric sophomore floor general to flirt with triple-doubles all season long.
BEST REBOUNDER | TERRANCE WILLIAMS | GONZAGA ’20
Williams continues his productive start to the season. The 6’6 forward recorded a team-high 8 boards.
BEST PASSER | CHRIS LYKES | GONZAGA ’17
Miami commit Chris Lykes made some sensational passes both in the half court and in transition. The diminutive lead guard is a very dynamic playmaker.
BEST CATCH AND SHOOT GUY | MYLES DREAD | GONZAGA ’18
Penn State commit Myles Dread is simply automatic when he sets his feet. The 6’5 do-it-all wing gets great rotation and arch on his jump shot, which looks identical every time.
BEST SHOES | CHRIS LYKES | GONZAGA ’17
This was an easy one. Lykes broke out these “What the” Lebron 11’s on Saturday night. Great choice, even better performance.
