Player Of The Week: Dec. 19–25
Brian Robinson, Prairie Seeds — Not only did Brian score 35 points in a win over HSRA on Tuesday, but he also eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career.
Jimmy Vollbrecht, Jordan — Jimmy put up big numbers last season, and he’s following the same pace with a 30-point and 14-rebound win over St. Peter along with 31 points in a Belle Plaine win. Those two performances also pushed Jimmy past the 1,000 point mark for his career.
Sean Sutherlin, Irondale — Sean put 41 points on Duluth East on Tuesday in possibly the week’s best pure scoring performance.
Nathan Hendler, Holy Family — HF’s junior poured 28 points on HLWW, including five three-pointers on five straight possessions!
Nathan Kavolak, Totino-Grace — Kavolak scored 22 (six treys, two of which were in the last 1:30 of regulation) in a 67-65 overtime win against Brooklyn Center on Tuesday.
Jack Korte, Henry Sibley — Jack had 19 points in a win against Harding, but the most notable moment was when he reportedly personally drew up an in-bounds play to secure the win. The play that Korte drew up ended up letting time expire and sealed the win for the Warriors.
Duoth Gach, Austin — The springy junior hit 9-of-10 three-pointers against Red Wing on Tuesday, totaling 31 points and recording the best long-distance performance for Austin in 20 years. Austin won, 65-62.
