Matthew Frost – 6’5/SF/2019 – Columbus East – Frost is a lean wing who really put it all together in their game on Wednesday. His shot was solid but he was more active off the bounce and was really aggressive driving the ball. His handles look improved and it spurred his ability to create some rather tough looks but he was making them all day long. The aggressiveness was really great to see and the ability to shoot and score gave him a completely different look as a player.
Brandon Vernon – 6’5/SF/2019 – Indianapolis Pike – Vernon is still showing that he is working to get better handles and create off the bounce. He’s still not great with his speed but he’s just good enough to slip through defenders with his agility to create an opportunity. Had 18 points in a win over Fishers and got hot shooting in the second half. As he develops and the body hopefully improves, his game really could take off and get better fast.
Terry Hicks – 6’4/SF/2019 – Fishers – Hicks is starting to get a little bit more run for Fishers with Washburn out and it showed a bit with his confidence in this game. He seemed much more willing to do some of the things we saw in AAU and in the Fall where he was running and making plays in transition and in the open floor. He’s a little undersized but tough and has shown a big willingness to shoot from three but he has been doing well when he decides to set up on the low block.
Trenton Kelley – 6’3/SF/2019 – Columbus North – Kelley is a lean wing who has started to put on some weight this year. He’s definitely more filled out and it allows him to be a bit more physical. He was battling more in the paint grabbing rebounds. Liked that he still can play on the wing and make plays cutting and slashing to the rim. Has a bit of upside as he keeps improving as a shooter because it looks like the body will keep him on the wing. Still has a long way before he is a finished product. Development could go a few different ways.
