MVP | DOM FRAGALA | CHAMPE ’17
Fragala is averaging 40 points per game for the 6-1 KnightsDom Fragala was once again the catalyst for Champe in their latest victory. The unsigned senior, who recently received his first division one offer from Mississippi Valley State, scored 30 of his team’s 63 points in a 5-point win.
BEST OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | LANGSTON GAITHER | HAYFIELD ’17
Langston Gaither dominated the first quarter in Hayfield’s win vs. Osbourn Park. He scored 15 of his game-high 25 in the first six minutes of the period. Gaither boasts a robust 6’4 frame and the ability to score from multiple areas of the floor.
BEST DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | DILLON THOMAS | MILLS GODWIN ’17
Dillon Thomas was a two-way standout for Godwin in their win vs. Osbourn. He recorded four steals and a block, while consistently communicating and showcasing an outstanding work rate.
BEST UNDER-THE-RADAR PERFORMANCE | ZACH POWELL | OSBOURN ’17
Zach Powell was thoroughly impressive in multiple areas for Osbourn despite the loss. Powell demonstrated a high motor and good offensive versatility, where shot the ball well with range from the catch. (caption – Powell recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds for Osbourn)
BEST UNDERCLASSMEN | MATIAS PROCK | MCLEAN ’19
Matias Prock led McLean in scoring despite their loss to Lake Braddock in the night cap. The savvy sophomore has good size for a lead guard and finishes well around the basket in traffic. Prock also exhibited improved confidence on his 3 point jump shot.
BEST GUY OFF THE BENCH | CONNOR WITHERS | OSBOURN ’18
Connor Withers came in and shot the lights out for Osbourn, proving to be a reliable threat from the catch. The long and lanky 6’4 forward moves well off the ball. Withers hit five threes.
BEST REBOUNDER | TIMOTHY FISHER | MILLS GODWIN ’17
Timothy Fisher proved to be a load down low with his size and effort. The 6’5 senior secured 9 boards while adding 14 points to a winning effort. He showed good touch around the basket and the strength to finish through contact.
BEST INTANGIBLES | DILLON THOMAS | MILLS GODWIN ’17
Several positive things stood out when evaluating his intangibles. He anticipates well. Has very good fundamentals, demonstrates good body language, and is very unselfish. Did we mention he loves to compete?
BEST PASSER | MATIAS PROCK | MCLEAN ’19
Prock delivered some impressive passes, both in the half court and in transition. Prock may not be the flashiest or most athletic player, but he can absolutely get the job done.
