Sunnyslope Tournament 2nd Team
Cole Roether 5’11 PG/SG Liberty 2017 – Roether has proven to be quite the talented prospect. He plays with a motor that never stops, he shoots the basketball at a remarkably high rate, and he has a competitive fire that is second to none. For Liberty to have the type of season that many are projecting, Roether will need to continue his strong play.
Grant Greabell 6’3 SG Estrella Foothills 2018 – Greabell demonstrated why many believe that he is one of the best shooting guards in the entire state. His ability to extend the court from deep might be second to none. Every time I see him play, I am more and more impressed with his gym rat mentality. His ability to shoot the basketball is always improving, and he is always adding other pieces to his game. The kid flat out hates to lose, and it is a lot of fun to watch.
Kiimani Holt 6’3 SG Rancho Solano 2020 – Holt’s performance was anything but freshman like. He has a nice well rounded game that makes him very difficult to guard. He can shoot the basketball at a high rate from deep, and he is also capable of taking the basketball to the rim. Holt has a bright future for Rancho, and he definitely started it off with a bang. This Rancho Salano group has a lot of potential, and they should be fun to watch going forward.
Daniel Foster 6’1 SG Agua Fria 2017 – Foster shot the basketball at an exceptionally high rate as he assisted in leading his team to the championship game. Foster has proven that he can be relied upon for a bigger role. Fria had a lot of question marks coming into this season due to so many seniors graduating. Foster is assisting in asserting that Agua Fria will be just fine this year.
Dom Ciccaglione 5’7 PG Liberty 2017 – Ciccaglione is a talented player who has an extremely high basketball IQ. What he gives up in height, he certainly makes up with effort and intelligence. Ciccaglione is playmaker who can shoot the basketball from deep, create for himself and others, and manage the tempo of the game, He does a good job of moving the basketball and distributing it to players in positions where they can be successful.
