KC had a breakout summer and his recruitment is starting to take off with a few early offers for the 6-foot-8 big man. PrepHoopsNC had the chance to catch up with KC this week.
PrepHoopsNC: Who all have you heard from recently and who has offered up until now?
KC Hankton: As of now I have offers from Kent State, Utah State and Winthrop but I’m being recruited by ECU, Ohio, Tennessee, Coastal Carolina, Loyola of Chicago, among others.
PrepHoopsNC: What are your goals for the summer and next season at your high school?
KC Hankton: This season, I want to help my team win as many games as possible. I want to help my teammates out in any way possible. I have to make sure I give everything I have and I don’t want to have any regrets at the end of the season. My goal is to win a state championship with my guys.
PrepHoopsNC: What are you looking at in a school when you make that decision?
KC Hankton: I’m looking for a program that I know will push me and maximize my abilities. I want to go there and feel like I am at home.
PrepHoopsNC: What are the most important parts of your game and can you explain your game to me?
KC Hankton: I consider myself to be a combo forward, so I’m able to play inside and out. I can shoot the ball very well and I can also finish inside. I feel like my shooting and my mid post game is the strongest part of my game.
PrepHoopsNC: What are some things do you feel you need to work on?
KC Hankton: Honestly, I feel like I need to work on every little thing there is. The most important things to work on though would be my ball handling and getting stronger.
