Throughout the high school basketball season we will recap the previous nights or weeks games with PrepHoopsIllinois Stat Center.  Take a look at the top performances from yesterday’s action.

 

Illini Bluffs 2017 PF Taylor Bruninga had 42 points and 22 rebounds against Peoria Christian.  One of the top unsigned forwards in state.

 

St. Joseph’s 2019 PG Marquise Walker went for 18 points in their opener.  St. Joe’s 2018 wing Joffari Brown added 16 points and 12 boards.

 

Lake Zurich 2018 shooting guard Ryan Kutsor dropped 24 points on 11-20 shooting and added 7 boards in a 68-66 win vs Grayslake North

 

Belleville Althoff 2017 shooting guard Jordan Goodwin started off his Mr. Basketball campaign with a monster 35 point, 12 rebound, and 5 assist performance against O’Fallon.

 

Hillcrest standout 2017 point guard Marcus Garrett went for 28 points in their opener against Thornwood.

 

Future Drake Bulldog Joliet West point guard Teyvion Kirk had 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists against Tinley Park.

 

North Lawndale 2017 combo guard Steven Ross finished with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 dimes.

 

Top 2019 prospect Normal West center Francis Okoro had 13 points and 10 boards while being triple teamed all night.

 

West Chicago and Drake signee point guard Tai Bibbs began his season with 29 points and 14 rebounds.
Romeoville 2018 point guard DeAndre Heckard who is a top 10 prospect in the junior class had 18 points in a double OT loss to Joliet Central.

 

Riverside Brookfield 2018 shooting guard Ryan Cicenas has 21 points to open the year.

 

DePaul Prep 2019 shooting guard Perry Cowan drops 18 points in the opener.

 

Lincoln Way East 2018 wing Sam Shafer has 20 points and 8 boards in win over Crete Monee.

 

St. Charles East workhorse 2018 forward Justin Hardy goes for 22 points and 14 boards in their win over East Aurora.

 

Libertyville 2018 shooting guard Drew Peterson is primed for a huge year.  He began with 21 points against Evanston.

 

Riverside Brookfield 2017 point guard Jalen Clanton begins senior year with 25 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds.

 

Johnsburg 2019 standout Zach Toussaint had 34 to begin his sophomore campaign.

 

Winthrop commit and Normal U-High point guard Keondre Schumacher had 24 points, 7 dimes, and 5 steals in a win over Normal West.

 

Jacksonville 2017 power forward and Lewis commit Brandon McCombs had 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in win.

 

Porta 2017 wing Max Muller has a strong 29 point opener.  One of better uncommitted wings.
