VCU commit Lavar Batts takes over the top spot again with the news that former number one player Jatrious Smith of E.E. Smith High School would forego his senior season and pursue a professional career in Canada.
Coming in at number two up two spots from the last rankings is Washington commit Blake Harris. Harris recently went for 39 points and 10 assists for Word of God in Raleigh, North Carolina.
At number three is Temple commitment JP Moorman. The 6-foot-7 point forward has helped lead Greenboro Day to some big wins so far this season and a undefeated record.
UNC commit Brandon Huffman moves up one spot from number five to the fourth slot after a strong first month of the season.
Temple commitment Justyn Hamilton moves up from the eighth position to the fifth best prospect in the lastest rankings.
Old Dominion commit Michael Hueitt Jr., moves up one spot to sixth.
UNC-Greensboro commit Kaleb Hunter dropped two spots to seventh.
Tyler Maye, the high scoring guard out of Farmville Central High School moves up from 14th to number eight in this edition of the rankings. He has had a couple 30-plus point games early this season already and has multiple Division One scholarships.
The number nine spot belongs to Cam Hamilton, a high scoring guard out of Vance High School who moves from 30th. Games of 37 points and 39 points early in the season propelled Hamilton up the rankings.
At number 10 is Carter Collins of East Chapel Hill High School. The Davidson commit moved up from 17th in the post-July rankings.
Some of the other big movements in the rankings were Quay Kimble of Shelby High School. The 5-foot-11 point guard was ranked 48th in the post-July rankings and moves all the way up to 15th. He scored 37 points in the season-opener against Reynolds High School.
