Commentary
This may be our most unconfident pick yet, not because we don’t think Little Wound will be good but because we think Winner will be better than people think and Red Cloud will rebuild and still be pretty solid. Not to mention that Pine Ridge has a lot back from a 15 win team and while St. Francis Indiana and Todd County didn’t have great records last year they do have top players to build around….Tex Janis is someone to watch. He had strong numbers as a freshman (eight and six a game) and stands 6-foot-6. After good minutes last year Tex should take big steps and be a name people start mentioning all around the state…Pine Ridge is a team that had so many guys contribute at different times last year, and many of them are back. Tough to know what they will be but they should be good…Winner lost their big scorer but they have a lots of pieces returning ready to step forward. Drew DeMers should take the big scorer role while Trevor Bertram will handle the ball and playmake….Red Cloud is listed high on merit and they have a couple nice players back. The program consistently produces winners and we expect them to again, although the line-up is uncertain…
Top Match-Up to See
Aiden Bizardie vs Shane Witt. Both players are big point producers on teams that should be improved this winter. Both should be in the 20 plus point area after scoring 15-17 a game last season. When they go head to head it could be one of the most entertaining games to see all year.
