He was a dominant scorer early in the day at the PrepHoops Top 250 Expo with his perimeter shooting. Lets it fly both off the catch and bounce. He is a major perimeter shooting threat, but there is more to his game. Excellent feel for the game at a young age. Plays with a quiet confidence about him. Flare for the dramatic and can be a bit flashy at times, but didn’t turn it over much when we saw him. Great handles getting in and out of traffic. Just a fun playmaker! Ultimately his level will probably be dependent on how much he grows.
Tucker spoke about his game.
“I am low about my game when you first see me because they don’t expect a lot from me. Then when I get on my court I am really explosive with my dribbles. I can jump high for my height. I am a knock down shooter even with a hand in my face.”
He played up on the 17U level for Team RWA this past summer.
“It was a really great experience. I liked the players and the coaches. We all got along and we were like a family. It helped my game a lot because I was playing against older, stronger, and more athletic kids.”
He recently participated in the PrepHoops Top 250 Expo. What did he want to accomplish?
“Showcase my talents. Meet new players. Make some new friends.”
Several colleges have shown initial interest in Tucker.
“I have heard from Eastern Illinois and Appalachian State. Also Bob Jones University.”
