“I think I’m an all around player,” said Ball, who recalls playing the game since about second grade. “Definitely a scorer, but get my teammates involved at the same time.”
Ball always grew up playing the point, but in high school was asked to transition off the ball and become more of a scorer. At the next level, Ball has shown that he has the potential to play either the one or the two.
“I think people definitely look past my athleticism,” Ball stated. “I started to get a couple dunks in a couple games this summer. So I think people could see that more often during the season.”
Ball is a terrific student in the classroom who owns a 3.85 GPA. He claims interest from the likes of Coastal Carolina, Longwood, and Concord among a host of programs in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. As he prepares himself for the next level, Ball understands that he’ll need to continue to improve defensively. This is something he’s worked very hard hard to address.
“Definitely my basketball IQ,” Ball replied when asked what he can bring to a program at the next level. “I just know how the game works I guess.”
