Stony Brook offered the talented 2017 this past summer while Green was playing with Ohio Basketball Club White, and several other schools have the good-sized senior on their radars.
“I’m still open, and I’m still getting recruited by Northern Kentucky, Wright State, Cleveland State, Winthrop, some small and mid-major D1s,” said Green.
“I feel maybe NKU and Wright State might offer. Wright State just came to watch me practice. And NKU, I talk to them all the time and they always try to get me to campus.”
He added: “I’m not thinking about recruitment too much right now, but I just hope it picks up. I feel I’m underrated a lot, but I think it will all fall into place.”
Versatility is the key to Green’s game, and he defined his playing style to PHOH, and what it is he’s still looking to improve most.
“I think I make an impact because I’m versatile. I can defend a wing, and if a big is guarding me I can take him off the dribble, and then I can knock in 3s too,” said Green.
“I can always get better at shooting, even though I like my shot. And I’m working on my ball-handling too.”
Last season as a junior Green had a prominent role, averaging 15 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks per game.
This season he says his role will be similar.
“My role is kind of the same, I had a big role last year. I’ll be a captain again, and I’ll just have to lead my team and play that big role,” said Green.
“I just want to try and get my team to Columbus; try to get to state.”
