The bruising five man is a solid rebounder and can score at times using his physicality on the block. We caught up with him to get the latest with his recruitment.
“It’s been a little slow since I’ve been playing football, but I’ve been talking to Northern Illinois as well as heard from Ball State.”
Have either offered yet?
“Not yet. I’m hoping NIU will. I was there for a practice not long ago and really liked it a lot.”
St. Pierre spoke about his visit to Northern Illinois.
“I really like the coaching staff a lot and the new facilities such as the dorms. Plus it only being an hour and a half from my house makes it even more appealing.”
He chatted with us about where things are with Ball State.
“I haven’t talked to coach. He talked with my dad and said he was going to come out for a game during high school.”
At this time St. Pierre plans on playing his senior season out and seeing what options come along. What will the program that lands him be getting?
“Someone who crashes the boards and will body defenders in the post and constantly will look for teammates to pass to out of the post. I’m improving my back down game and ability to play a little outside the post.”
Low-major D1 programs should take a serious look at the Richmond Burton center. He is the #3 center in the state and #29 overall prospect in the class of 2017.
