In talking to Cook, he added Khari Broadway, Tommy Chatman, Dain Dainji, and Emmanuel Tamba as teammates that he thinks will be key for the young Pirates. The work they are putting in right now is centered around getting Park Center back to where they were just a few years ago, the state tournament.
“I’m definitely excited about the young talent we have for many years to come,” Cook said. “I’ve been in the gym working on getting to the basket and becoming more than just a jump shooter. Also just getting stronger. Just becoming a playmaker and just having an aggressive mindset. I want to be always attacking.”
A hard-working fall comes after a good summer with MN Powerhouse, the AAU program formerly known as Lockdown. Cook had words of praise for the program that is making waves in the local grassroots landscape.
“(AAU) went very well,” Cook said. “I really like the program and my teammates. I also enjoyed the traveling and the competition we were playing.”
Along the way, Cook says he has received recruiting interest from Drake, Appalachian State, SMSU, St. Cloud State, Nebraska-Omaha, Augustana, and Loyola-Chicago.
