He averaged 24.6 PPG last year to add to his 17.1 mark his freshman year and we can expect that to rise this year as he has gotten better over the summer. Not many high school players get to the 1000 point mark, but Eric did that in two years. Not many high school kids can put up 50 points in a game, but Eric did that last year.
Coaches have noticed as Eric holds offers from Ball State, Butler, Creighton, East Carolina, IUPUI, IPFW, Kent State, Nebraska, Purdue, Toledo, and Xavier. He has visited Butler, Creighton, Indiana, Michigan, Purdue, and Xavier this year and plans to back to Xavier this weekend for another visit.
“Most coaches say they like that I can play both guard positions and they like my scoring ability, speed, and versatility.”
Running with Team Harris 2018 this summer, Eric really improved on his athleticism going up for a few alley-oops and stood out with his trademark scoring ability. Even though he can put up point with the best, he actually improved his scoring ability.
“I felt my summer went really well. I got a ton better in my eyes. I competed with the best of the best. I worked on extending my range and I am getting stronger.”
This upcoming season Tindley is looking to improve on their 22-6 finish last year which included a loss to Bloomfield in the regional championship.
“I am looking forward to being able to play with the same guys I have played with the last two years and to try and reach our team goals.”
The college search is far from over for Eric though at this point. He still has many more offers to come his way and more visits to take. Eric is simplistic in what he is looking for at a future college.
“I want to be in a great situation as far as being able to play right away with a great impact. Also having great relationships with the players and coaches.”
