“I’m a basketball player,” Ogbuagu began when asked to describe his game. “I play all around.”
Ogbuagu is an excellent rebounder. He averaged 8.28 boards per game last season. With the departure of Amanze Njoku-Ibe, Ogbuagu will look to eat up the twice as many rebounds this season.
“My ball-handing ability is underrated,” Ogbuagu stated. “I still need to work on that. As well as my shot.”
Ogbuagu is a hard worker on and off the court. His GPA is a 3.8, and he is emerging as a primary target for a number of scholarship level programs.
“I received an offer from Gannon,” Ogbuagu said of the Division Two program based out of Pennsylvania. “I visited a couple of weeks ago.”
Division One programs such as Loyola (MD), Stony Brook, St. Francis, and Towson have each expressed recent interest in Ogbuagu. At the next level, Ogbuagu feels most comfortable on the wing. What can schools who are recruiting Ogbuagu expect him to bring to a program at the next level?
“I’m gonna bring my game and dominate on the court. Rebound. I just wanna win.”
