He did recently pick up his first offer from NAIA Pikeville, and has mentioned a couple other schools which are still in the mix with his recruitment.
“I ended up going to a camp at Pikeville and they offered me a full scholarship after the camp. And I just took a visit to Cumberland and they’re kind of looking at me,” said Crawford.
“I’d say either Cumberland (TN) or Shawnee State might be the next to offer me. They’re in contact with me a lot.”
Though he says he’s nowhere near making a college decision, Crawford — Kentucky’s 23rd-ranked 2017 — says his recruitment is a priority – he just hoping for some more offers to come his way.
“It’s something that I’m taking pretty serious right now, but I don’t expect to make a decision anytime soon, I haven’t really sat down and thought about it,” he said. “Hopefully I can pick up a couple more offers in the next couple of months.”
With his senior season just weeks away, and coming off the heels of another wildly successful individual season last season as a junior, Crawford knows that this Polar Bears team is his to lead.
“We have a lot of seniors on our team, but a lot of of them still look to me as their leader because I’ve been playing varsity longer than them and have more experience,” said Crawford. “We all want to do the same things, and that’s win.”
