“I’m a 6’9 combo guard,” said Samuel when asked to describe his game. “I can dribble the ball. I can shoot a little bit.”
While Samuel admittedly needs to be a bit more consistent with his shot and dribble, he is extremely mobile and very crafty for his size. Samuel has a significant ceiling defensively, where he’s a disruptive presence both in the paint and on the perimeter.
“I block a lot of shots and I get a lot of rebounds. When I get rebounds, its very quiet. I probably average about ten rebounds a game,” Samuel explained. “When I’m playing defense, blocking shots, getting rebounds, no one really sees it.”
Samuel, who plays on the AAU circuit with Brookwood Elite, is working on being more explosive, getting stronger, and lifting more. While his recruitment is currently still in it’s infancy, it’s surely just a matter of time before coaches get their eyes on Samuel and begin recruiting him.
What can coaches who are recruiting Samuel expect him to bring to their program at the next level?
“A final four. The championship.”
