He averaged 20.8 points, 3.1 assists and 7.2 rebounds per game while helping lead the Crusaders to a winning season. He was named to the 2016 All-Broward County 2nd team.
The 6-foot-5 Broadway is a natural scorer, he is a great athlete that can attack the paint and rim, he can create off the dribble and can play off of the ball. Versatile, he can play at both guard positions and small forward. At the 22ft Academy Showcase Cup, he had a few highlight reel plays over the weekend that left the crowd pleased. He plays well above the rim when attacking and can finish through contact.
His coach at Washington Academy, Marquis Pollard had this to say about Travon, ” Travon is a great kid on and off the court that should be every D1 coaches radar. He has the ability to take over games and will make a huge impact at the next level.” He has heard from the University of South Florida, East Carolina University and Winthrop University. He has no offers at this point. Coaches need to get involved with the high-level athlete. He is a player that can impact a game in the mid-major level programs and can play significant minutes in a high-major program.. He has the size for high level college basketball. It will only be a matter of time with the schedule that Washington Academy is playing. A match-up with Hargrave Military Academy and Moravian Prep next week.
