“I’ve got a pretty strong mid range jumper,” Kier began when asked to describe his game. “I can get my teammates open. I got pretty good court vision.”
An underrated passer, Kier will be asked to create a lot more for others this season. He will definitely also need to improve defensively, where his focus has been more on sliding his feet.
“I don’t have anybody recruiting me, but I have people interested. Coaches talking to me,” Kier said about feedback he’s received from coaches. “They like that I put in hard work. They like my jumper.”
Kier, who was born in Atlanta, has lived in northern Virginia his entire life. He recalls playing the game for the first time around age 5 or 6, and models his game after Penny Hardaway. Kier is a solid student with a 3.0 GPA. What is he considering when deciding which school is right for him?
“Academics and basketball,” Kier stated. “A good balance of both.”
