Top Big Man | Terrence Gibbons (Wise ’18)
Terrence Gibbons impressed with his versatility at 6-foot-6. Gibbons is a mismatch as a result of his strength in conjunction with his ability to create space and beat his man off the dribble. Gibbons also showcased high level athleticism and played above the rim on both ends of the floor.
Top Wing | Deontay Compton (Virginia Academy ’17)
At first glance, the first thing that is evident about Deontay Compton is how well built he is. The sturdy wing bullied smaller opponents in the painted area, and gave terrific effort defensively as well. Compton is an active rebounder and rim protector who can really elevate and contest shots.
Top Scoring Guard | Jalen Gibbs (North Point ’17)
Jalen Gibbs did a bit of everything, but what stood out most about him was his ability to score. Gibbs is adept at creating separation for his shot where he is very efficient off the bounce and from the catch. A confident handler who is very good at getting into the paint, Gibbs also finished efficiently around the basket in traffic.
Top Distributor | Jack Kouba (Bishop Ireton ’19)
This selection was not easy, but the Jack Kouba gets the nod in this category as a result of his consistent ability to create for others. Kouba is a quick, relentless lead guard with good vision and paint getting ability.
Top Combo Guard | Keynante Williams (Massaponax ’18)
Keynante Williams really made a name for himself with his performance at camp. An explosive athlete with a confident handle and elite quickness, Williams constantly kept defenders off balance with his aggression. Williams is expected to have a big season and should be considered a scholarship level prospect.
Top Three Point Shooter | Kamdyn Curfman (Georgetown Prep ’19)
We’ve seen evidence of Kamdyn Curfman’s prolific shooting ability with his performance vs. DeMatha in the BSN Summer League Championship victory for his team. Curfman displays excellent form, rotation, balance and range on his perimeter jump shot.
Top Pest | Derick Brown (Theodore Roosevelt ’17)
Derick Brown is a long-limbed, broad shouldered wing with good athleticism and an excellent work rate. He gave great intensity defensively, where he actively contested shots, got in the passing lanes for deflections, and even took a few charges.
