This weekend, we will have tons of interesting and intruiging prospects on hand. Quite a bit with size and skill. This will be a fun group to showcase on Saturday.
Anthony Barnard – 6’5 – Kokomo (IN)
Barnard came on at the end of the high school season last year and you saw just a little bit of what he could do this summer. Now, in an open event like this, I want to see if he can string it all together. He’s a guy that can take a big step forward starting tomorrow.
Jonquell Dawson – 6’7 – Gary Lighthouse (IN)
Dawson was a guy I saw last winter for the first time. I have yet to get that second look but he was a bouncy, long, athletic forward with raw skills but decent touch in and around the basket. He looked the part of a kid with some room to grow quickly.
Christian Harvey – 6’0 – Richmond (IN)
I’ve only got to see Harvey in small sessions, never a full game. However, he’s been talked about as a guy who has sprung on the scene this summer. He’ll get his chance on Saturday to back up the reports and we will be interested to see how it pans out.
Caleb Middlesworth – 6’8 – Oak Hill (IN)
The Oak Hill big man just picked up his first DI offer this week from IUPUI. He’s been really improving his jump shot and if he can do that consistently, there is no telling how good he will be by the time he graduates. This weekend will be a fun one to watch.
Darian Porch – 6’5 – Indianapolis Pike (IN)
Porch might be one of my favorite players in the class. He’s undersized and never going to be the main weapon on a team but he’s going to be the key for his team’s success a lot, mainly because of his rebounding ability. That aspect leads to his scoring on the block and defensive versatility. A lot of things to like about Porch.
Glen Rouch – 6’6 – Boonville (IN)
Rouch is a guy I’ve seen just a little bit of. He’s a tall wing that can drive and shoot. Really want to see how he does up against quickness and length on his drives but I know he can stroke it from deep. Will be great to get a different look at him.
