Kris Wilkes Heads To Indiana For Official
The biggest storyline of the weekend is North Central senior wing Kris Wilkes taking his third official visit to Indiana. He has already been on campus at Illinois and UCLA and still has visits to Xavier and Connecticut. This is big for the state of Indiana but wouldn’t expect a commitment during as Wilkes has been pretty methodical about his recruitment and is expected to see things through until the end. Indiana was the first to offer before he had played a high school basketball game and they are in decent shape heading into this weekend.
More Visits On Tap
There are plenty of visits this time of year as college coaches try to bring in guys for football games and show the campus off. This weekend is home from a couple more visits with guys like Eric Hunter heading to Nebraska, Jared Hofer to Kent State.
Hunter has really seen his stock go up. Since picking up a Purdue offer earlier this fall, more and more schools have come in to see him. Indiana was the latest with Tom Crean stopping by Indianapolis Tindley as well as Michigan head coach John Beilein.
Jared Hofer just finished up playing in our Top 250 Expo and looked much improved since we saw him last so it isn’t a big surprise to see him end up on a college campus this fall. Kent State is one of a few programs recruiting the 6’10 post player. Air Force and University of Indianapolis were in to see him this week too.
