“Augsburg, Briar Cliff, and Jamestown, a couple division one junior colleges, they have been contacting Coach Blake Nicols (of WOTN) about me,” said Wilson.
“Baseball is also an option for me as well. Winona State, Augustana, and Minnesota State-Mankato have shown interest for baseball. I’m visiting Winona State for baseball this fall and none besides that.”
Wilson hit .308 for the Tigers last spring and during the basketball season he scored a team high 14 points per game.
Wilson has made a name for himself in Minnesota high school basketball with his standout play for Wear Out The Net.
“Some of my top experiences that I had playing AAU are that I have created some life long relationship’s with some great people,” Wilson said. “Also, it helped me grow as a player playing against top players around the Midwest.
“For team success this year we were a top ten team and won 30 plus games. Also, beating D1 Minnesota Prospects two out of three times was nice because they were a team on paper that was supposed to beat us by 30.”
Wilson isn’t a football player though so he’s working out this fall in a constant way.
“I work out at Athens Academy, do workouts at WOTN, lift and run Monday through Friday and try to get 500+plus shots up a day, and we have team open gyms a couple times a week.”
