He has size at 6’4”, length, and athleticism along with a projectable game and frame for the collegiate level. Roeser is smooth with the ball in his hands. Very slick defender that gets in the lane with ease and to the spot he needs so he can get his shot off. Plus passer with a feel for finding his teammates. Rebounds well for his position and is an underrated defender that knows how to use length and can block a jumper on occasion. One of the top prospects at the small forward spot in that class early in the process.
How did it go with the Illinois Wolves 15U this past summer?
“It went well. We have been getting team chemistry. We have been playing together and getting better as a team. We all have our own roles. For me on this team my role is to get others involved. I think I am doing a good job at that.”
In general what are the strengths of his game?
“I think my strengths are that since I am longer I am a good defender. I think I am a good passer too. I can get others involved.”
Western Illinois is a school that has shown him initial interest early in the process.
