The 6’4 prospect is in line for a boost in his game after being the backup role during this past season with Eron Gordon and Jordan Walker. Now, he will take the role of leader as a junior and provide a much bigger scoring punch for the Irish.
This summer was a preview for him but it was good enough to pick up a pair of offers and tons more interest. Ball State and IUPUI have already pulled the trigger on an offer while Indiana, Indiana State, Toledo, Colorado, Kent State, Wright State, and UW-Milwaukee are teams that Coleman says have expressed their interest.
“I am grateful for both offers,” Coleman said. “Coach (Jason) Gardner and the IUPUI coaching staff are great coaches and make you want to work harder. I am looking forward to getting to know Coach (James) Whitford and coaching staff and Ball State.”
Jarron said this summer was a time period of improvement for his game. He says he worked a lot on his pick and roll game. He also showed quite a bit offense too. Coleman is an outstanding shooter from distance and his size can create problems. Being looked at as a wing player, ball handling will be key for his game and developing off the bounce. He has that in his repertoire but this winter will be one of the few times we have seen him have to be the main scoring weapon. That could lead to a huge winter for both him and Cathedral.
