The athletic and projectable wing flashes his potential on both ends of the floor being able to handle it going baseline where he makes quick moves to blow by defenders for scores. Potential on his jumper. Defensively he has a chance to be good down the line once he adds more strength.
Hopkins spoke about playing with the Illinois Wolves 15U.
“When we play together as a team no one can stop us, but ourselves. For me I felt I played good. I got my shot going and my all around abilities make me a threat.”
He was sidelined for a bit with an injury during the spring, but came back strong.
“It was hard to stay in shape so when I came back it was hard to stay on the floor for long periods of time, but as soon as I started coming back and playing it got better from there.”
The Fremd standout says his high school team looked good in June preparing for the season.
“Our team is dominant in our conference so we won both of our leagues in the summer. We could be good this year.”
