Expect Big Season From Myja White
You only got to see Myja White play a couple games in the tournament last season for Brebeuf after having to sit out a full 365 days due to transfer. Now, with a full season ahead of him, you should expect him to have a big year as a do-it-all guard who can score all over the court and has a motor that allows for success. The 6’0 prospect will step in and provide quite a bit more offense for this team and with him in the backcourt with Malachi Rice, teams will have a lot of difficulty stopping this group.
Pretty Solid Depth At All Spots
This team is setup to have a good year because of the talent in the starting lineup and the depth behind it. Rice and White will get looks up top but Spencer Reist should step into minutes along with Kobie McNeal, Max Kucer, and Trevin Trabue. Simon Banks, Brennan Fitzgerald, and Josh Haubry will be the guys at the 4/5 and they can play a few different combinations with those guys. There are 8-9 really good players on this group and that is before the practices begin.
More Offense, More Options
This group gets a big boost by moving two guys up from JV last year. Having Spencer Reist and and Myja White on Varsity and essentially losing no big time offensive contributors from last season, Brebeuf should be able to score the ball at a very high rate. Reist gives this team a shooter on the perimeter that can get really hot. Myja adds some of that shooting as well while still being able to attack off the bounce. Banks is a good shooter too and has a pretty good mid-range game. I fully expect to see this team run a lot of drive and kicks to the added shooters. They have a lot more balance on offense than before which could be trouble for their opponents.
