Harrington’s commitment came just a few days after receiving a division two scholarship offer from Shepherd University. Mary Washington and Salisbury were among other schools who were in the mix for his services. Harrington’s decision came after his most recent visit to CNU’s campus in Newport News.
“Everyone there is so nice. The coaching staff is awesome. The team, I loved them. They really brought me in. Campus was gorgeous. Academics pristine.” Harrington recalled about his visit. “After my official visit, I just knew right after I left. This is the place I wanna be. Everything is so fun and I loved the school.”
Harrington is coming off a very productive junior campaign in which he averaged 15 points per contest. College coaches recruited him as a two guard, given his ability to get to the basket against pretty much anyone.
“I’m a slasher. I get to the rim really easily cause I got a quick first step. My size and my strength from my position helps me get to the basket easily,” Harrington said about his game. “They’re gonna get a big versatile guard who can play on the ball and off the ball and play above the rim.”
