Justin Smith to Indiana
The highest ranked player available in the class of 2017 in the state of Illinois has made his decision. Stevenson senior 6’7” small forward Justin Smith has committed to .
He told us why they were his choice.
“The way Indiana plays fits my game and that Coach Crean showed me how he was going to get me better and not just telling me that he would.”
The top small forward in the state said being able to see exactly how they would use him and max out his abilities was key in his decision.
“Being able to watch their workouts and have a film session with the coaching staff.”
Smith is a silky smooth wing that elevated his game in the spring and summer on the travel team circuit for the Mac Irvin Fire. The Stevenson wing is a long and lanky small forward with athleticism. He started to play with more confidence and dominance. Once that happened his natural ability took over. Smith handles the ball well allowing him to get where he needs to either get to the basket or get his perimeter jump shot off. Great in transition as an above the rim finisher.
He is the #3 overall prospect in the class of 2017 and #1 small forward in the class.
