Seth Anderson of Waseca. The 2008 graduate of Maple River is now the head coach of Waseca after being Blue Earth’s head coach for a couple years and an assistant at New Prague last year.
Tim Anderson of Mankato West. Anderson comes to Mankato after 21 years at Maple River and Mankato Loyola. He has a career record of 395-154 and his took his team to state three times in the past.
Jason Birr of St. Thomas. Birr has been at NDSCS junior college at the D1 level the last few years, was a player at Concordia-St. Paul during his college career, and of course played at St. Thomas Academy where he had an excellent career.
Tyler Biwan of Blake. Tyler was at Mound-Westonka where he did a solid job, he was at St. Thomas last year who fired him in a ridiculous move after one year, and now he’s at Blake who has struggled the last couple years.
Willie Braziel of Columbia Heights. A homecoming for Coach Braziel who did some great things at Columbia Heights a few years back. A very good hire as the Hylanders have a really nice group coming back as upperclassmen.
Nathan Christensen of Zimmerman. Christensen takes over a team that has some really good seniors and should have a nice year.
Trevor Davis of Hill-Murray. Davis has spent time with Wear Out the Net, he’s coached at the junior college level and other college jobs, and is now back in the Twin Cities leading the Pioneers.
Enoch Dix of St. Cloud Apollo. A long time assistant of Dean Kessler, Dix takes over the Eagles program after spending years learning behind Kessler who was one of the best coaches in central Minnesota.
Todd Dufault of Chisago Lakes. The coach of Waseca has moved north of the metro and is not only living in a nice lake town but is also taking over a program that has had some success in recent years.
BJ Etzold of Holy Angels. BJ was an assistant at Holy Angels, he’s also a teacher at the school, and he played college football at Jamestown College.
Andy Fenske of Hermantown. Fenske takes over at Hermantown where things are new as the gym has been redone and things are changing.
Kyle Finney of Byron. The Austin, Minnesota graduate has been at Byron for several years, double figure years. All these years learning, Finney is now the head coach and he takes over at a time when the junior class is very talented and ready for a run.
Matt Johnson of Fergus Falls. Matt took over last year but this is his first year coming into the year as the full time head coach and it’s coming off leading his team to the state championship game.
Alex Kuhlman of North Branch. Andrew was the assistant at North Branch in recent years and is now taking over as head coach.
Drew Olinger of Red Wing. Drew is the 5th basketball coach at Red Wing in the last 80 years and he comes to the team from coaching girls at Lake City. Drew also coached at Gustavus.
Terry Pederson of Kasson-Mantorville. Pederson takes over for Coach Raymond who was at the school the last years along with his son Braxton. With Braxton now at college his father stepped down and Pederson is taking over.
Derek Peterson of Sauk Rapids-Rice. Peterson has been an assistant coach at Sauk Rapids-Rice and has now taken over the spot of a place that has some serious talent coming up and some pressure to win.
Raheem Simmons of Bloomington Kennedy. Simmons has worked at Kennedy for some time, has coached youth basketball in the Twin Cities, and has been coaching girls at Breck and Blake most recently as an assistant.
Aaron Swenson of Detroit Lakes. Swenson is back in coaching after taking eight years off and working at a bar and grill. Right now he’s officially called the interim coach bringing the years.
