By July Mitchell’s face-up skills were showed, Mitch did some things with his back to the basket, he was a top Fury defender and producer. The Fury experience was good for Sueker.
“I really enjoyed just being able to practice with my team every week,” said Sueker. “I feel like playing with and against some of the best players in the state really helped me to improve as a player.
“I also really enjoyed learning and growing with all of my teammates as the season progressed. Las Vegas was also a really fun experience. I was able to bond with my team, and getting the opportunity to play on the Jordan court against the Georgia All Stars was awesome.”
Marshall is on the short list of teams that may be able to contend with DeLaSalle and try and stop them from winning a sixth straight state title.
“We plan to get in the gym, get stronger in the weight room, and also develop good chemistry off of the basketball floor,” said Sueker.
The list of schools going after Sueker is long and impressive. He has offers from Michigan Tech, Colorado School of Mines, Hillsdale, Harding, South Dakota School of Mines, Upper Iowa, Nebraska-Kearney, Northern State, and Southwest Minnesota State. That’s nine options to play college basketball at the next level on scholarship.
“I’m hearing the most from Nebraska-Kearney, Northern State, Hillsdale, Michigan Tech, SMSU, South Dakota School of Mines, Colorado School of Mines, Cornell, St. Johns, St. Olaf, Gustavus, Carleton, and University of Chicago,” Mitch said.
“I just visited Michigan Tech last weekend, South Dakota School of Mines this weekend, and I plan on visiting Northern State and Nebraska Kearney in the next couple of weeks. Colorado School of Mines is coming to visit me in a few weeks also.”
