That one is not official yet until I actually get there, because they want to make sure I am interested in them also. Viterbo is the same way and will offer if I visit. I have been talking with Cornell as well, and they want to come watch me workout in September and then I might go on a visit there.”
Mitch has visited Northern State, SW MN State, Nebraska-Kearney, St. John’s (MN), Gustavus and St. Olaf.
“I enjoyed them a lot,” he said of his visits. “The people there were all great, and they were all nice places. I don’t really have a top school as of now though, because I haven’t visited the other schools that have recently offered.”
When looking at the Class AAA landscape for 2015-2016, Marshall has without a doubt some of the top, if not the top size between Sueker and 6-foot-8 banger Weston Baker-Magrath. That has to give them a solid shot at unseating five-time champ DeLaSalle, if they make it to state like Sueker hopes.
“I think we are a top contender for a championship. I know all of the guys are committed to getting better and we have great chemistry this year. I would say both of the Mankatos, Waseca, and Faribault would be the next best teams in our section. My goal since sophomore year has been to win the ‘ship and beat DeLaSalle.”
Sueker is a great combination of a skilled 6-foot-7 forward with exceptional grades and test scores. He is deciding between studying engineering or “maybe following a pre-med route and majoring in physics.” Expect his decision to come before Marshall’s high school season starts.
